What we publish
Sixteen calculators and twenty-one guides about life insurance: sizing cover, policy types, premiums, beneficiaries, claims, riders, taxes and reviews. Topics are chosen from the decisions readers actually face, such as buying cover after a child is born, protecting a mortgage, or reviewing a policy after a divorce, rather than from what is easiest to write.
Writing and checking
Every article is written in plain language, with a direct answer first, worked examples labelled as illustrations, and a list of what the page does not cover. Formulas are printed in full and tested against hand calculations. Examples use the same numbers as the calculators. Statistics are avoided unless they are widely known facts that a reader can check; no invented studies, quotes, awards or case studies are used anywhere on the site.
Review and corrections
Pages carry a review date and are checked after major rule changes and at least once a year. If a reader reports an error, we check it against the source, fix it, and update the review date. Serious corrections are not hidden: the page is fixed and the date shows when. Suggestions for new topics are kept and built in order of how many readers they would help.
What we do not publish
We do not publish paid rankings, sponsored recommendations disguised as guides, or pages written to promote a single insurer. We do not publish personal data, policy details belonging to readers, or advice tailored to an individual situation. A topic that cannot be explained honestly with a simple model is either explained with its limits stated clearly, or not published at all.
Advertising separation
Advertising never influences a formula, a ranking, a topic choice or a conclusion. No advertiser can pay to change a result, and no sponsored content is presented as editorial content. See the advertising disclosure for how the site earns money.
