How 8171Portal earns money from advertising, and what ads never influence.

Last updated 2026-11-04. This page explains how 8171Portal earns money, and what advertising does and does not influence.

How the site earns money

8171Portal is supported by advertising displayed on some pages. Advertising partners may place ads and use cookies to measure and target them, as described in the privacy policy. The site currently carries no sponsored posts, no paid product placements and no affiliate links: if any of those are introduced, this page will be updated before they appear.

What advertising does not influence

Ads never influence how a calculator works, which guide is written, what a guide concludes, or which tool is recommended. Calculator results are produced only from the numbers you enter and the formula printed on the page. No advertiser can pay to change a formula, a ranking or a conclusion, and no ad is presented as editorial content or as a calculator result.

Ads and recommendations

An advertisement for an insurer or product is not a recommendation from 8171Portal. The site does not sell insurance and does not recommend any insurer or product. Compare quotes from licensed insurers and read the policy wording before buying, and treat every ad as advertising, not advice.

How to tell an ad from content

Advertising is labelled as advertising by the network that serves it, and it appears in ad placements, not inside calculator results or guide text. Calculator results are produced only from the numbers you enter and the formula printed on the page, and guide conclusions are written by the editor, not by an advertiser. If anything on a page looks like a recommendation, check whether it is an ad placement: a genuine guide conclusion will show its reasoning, its example and its limits, while an ad will link to an insurer or product without that reasoning.
